The BlackBerry Bold red LED light indicates the phone is accepting a battery charge. If your phone refuses to turn on and the red LED light fails to illuminate, your phone isn’t receiving a charge. To repair your Bold, re-seat your battery so that it accepts a charge and your phone turns on.
Instructions

Pop off the back cover of the BlackBerry to expose the battery.

Attach the battery charger to your phone and plug into an electrical outlet. The red LED illuminates.
3.Remove the battery from the battery compartment while the phone is plugged in. The red LED light turns off.

Insert the battery. The red light comes back on.

Charge your phone until it indicates it is fully charged, then unplug from the electrical outlet.

Press the “Power” button to turn on your phone and Tips & Warnings
If re-seating the battery doesn’t charge your phone and the red LED light refuses to come on, you may have a hardware problem. Bring your phone into an authorized BlackBerry retailer for diagnosis and repair.
